30/10 (Day 3) – Green Building and Energy Efficiency |
Among the general population there is a heightened consciousness and demand for environmentally friendly buildings. Developers now have access to materials, processes and services which meet these demands from the moment a development project is conceived. In many countries and regions, regulations are in place for the use of construction materials from sustainable sources and methods which do not pollute. Incorporating energy-efficient systems in new buildings is cost-effective as well as a good marketing tool. Exhibitors at Eco Expo Asia deliver the products and services necessary. |
31/10 (Day 4) – Green Living |
"I joined one of the buyers’ tours held by the organiser which let me to look at a number of companies that will be beneficial for our business. I oversee the facility management of our cargo terminal and I am also involved in monitoring and perfecting the environmental policies of the facility. I am particularly interested in the industrial fans on display which are suitable for our warehouses. We are also looking for suitable solutions that can help us improve or even upgrade our existing systems."
Jackson Lam, Head of Safety & Quality, SPSL Management Office, Cathy Pacific Services Ltd
"Our company specialises in plastic waste recycling and our main focus is on the Australian and European market. As I believe environmental protection is growing in Chinese mainland and around the world, I am here to look for more business opportunities. What attracted me the most is the strong presence and dedicated focus of the Hong Kong government which are reflected in its green initiatives and development projects. The fair is conveniently located and the timing is perfect. The chance of me coming back is high."
Stewart Norton, Regional Manager, Asia Pacific Region, Julien Environmental Technology (Australia)
"It is our first time visiting Eco Expo Asia and the quality of the exhibitors is high. We are searching for recycling management and water-saving technologies for Nepal. Nepal is very polluted but people are changing toward healthier living and the fair is a platform for us to discover appropriate solutions. We were impressed by the green bus display and believe it is a very good solution to promote better health. We plan to join the waste management seminar later this afternoon to discover the latest market trends and obtain insider information."

"Windmoller is a mid-size German-based flooring company with a strong presence in Europe. It is our first time exhibiting at Eco Expo Asia. We were very busy on the first day and spoke to about 20 goods leads that I plan to follow up with; that is good enough for me to come back. The buyers I have spoken to are knowledgeable and professional. They are from different industries but the ones we engaged in more conversations with were those looking for green building materials from all over Asia. I introduced our company to more than 15 buyers this morning, and was invited to a networking event with Chinese government officials which hopefully can result in good business opportunities."
Jorge Villena, Asia Manager, Windmoller Flooring Products WFP GmbH (Germany)
"We are presenting a wide range of products including paper bags, table mats, notebooks and more. They are all made from stones and produced in an eco-friendly manner that does not require lumbering and are completely free of halogen. We have already connected with many target buyers, including lighting fixtures manufacturers, designers and end-users from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Europe who have all shown great interest in our products. Our booth has attracted great media attention which is great for our brand exposure. I think that the Expo is very international and professional. It offers new concepts and remarkable technologies and drawn exhibitors and buyers from all around the world. We certainly look forward to the next edition."
Alan Sun, Marketing, Taiwan Lung Meng Technology Co Ltd (Taiwan)
"We have participated in the fair for years and the fair is getting more international and also bigger every year. It has attracted more quality buyers who have contributed to a more effective trade platform for the fairgoers. Apart from increasing our brand awareness, we also aim to promote our green initiatives and our work in environment remediation. The result is satisfying. We met around 10 companies that have great interest in cooperating with us, including companies from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and South Asia. Eco Expo Asia has a geographical advantage which I believe can attract buyers not only from Chinese mainland, but also from various emerging markets such as ASEAN, South America and Africa."
Liu Mingyi, Director, Colligation and Management Department, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection (Hong Kong) Investment Co Ltd (Hong Kong)
