The ninth edition of Eco Expo Asia was kicked off with an opening ceremony attended by government officials, eco-business leaders and industry experts from around the world. The Hon Wong Kam-sing, JP, Secretary for the Environment of the HKSAR Government, gave an inspiring speech at the opening ceremony. |

I would like to welcome you all, especially to friends from over 20 countries and economies who have travelled a long way to join us. I am also particularly grateful for the continuous support from the mainland authorities at central, provincial and city levels in sending more than 30 official delegations to attend the Expo, " The Hon Wong Kam-sing, JP said. |

| The Eco Expo Asia Luncheon was well attended by over 120 buyers, business leaders and government officials to exchange views on innovative environmental solutions. Lu Wenbin, Deputy Head of Resources Conservation and Environmental Protection Department, Development and Reform Commission of People’s Republic of China, delivered the keynote speech, outlining some pressing environmental issues for Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, and how these issues can be addressed. |
