According to European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, energy efficiency improvement market alone holds great potential in Southeast Asia. The policies and programmes carried out by governments can achieve power savings worth USD 15-43 billion by 2020. In the Chinese mainland, the energy-saving industry alone is expected to reach USD 685 billion by 2015.
In Hong Kong, the Environment Bureau unveiled "Hong Kong: Blueprint for Sustainable Use of Resources 2013-2022" recently, which analyses the challenges and opportunities of waste management in Hong Kong, and maps out a comprehensive strategy, targets, policies and action plans for waste management for the coming 10 years with a view to tackling the waste crisis in Hong Kong.
The fair serves as a perfect platform for buyers from across the region to converge and source for green solutions. Areas of specialty covered at the fair include Waste Management and Recycling, Green Building, Energy Efficiency & Energy, Eco-friendly Product and Air & Water Quality. |
